It’s a progression of songs from 1970 through the late 80’s. The sounds did change in J-Pop.

I do not have any J-Pop songs in my library, but I have a bunch of ballroom, Latin American and Israeli songs. And I remember a bit from the American scene.

It is kind of amusing to hear one of the songs and say, okay I remember a similar Spanish Rumba song from Edie Gorme and Steve Lawrence.

One song that I intend to do a bit of further research on is Kaze’s “22-year-old farewell”.
