I was in a Twitter conversation with a woman who bragged about her relationship with her kids, “WE NOT FRIENDS”.

I mentioned, in thirty years, her kids will tell HER, “WE NOT FRIENDS”.

It’s only appropriate.

I heard from one of my brothers, when I was still in contact with the middle one, that our childhood barber was shitting upon me for not attending Dad’s funeral. My youngest brother flew out from here as my representative, because I was just not up to dealing with the funeral, reconciling past traumatic experiences, and putting on a pleasant facade in front of a stepfamily who had very much rubbed me the wrong way on previous holiday visits.

Dad had tried to make amends after Mom died, but it was much too late. The damage was done long ago.
