La. engaged in a Boll Weevil Eradication Program a few years back.
We don’t have any, anymore.

I’m a bit upset at the CNN reporter in the video, though. He says La.s barrier islands have been decreasing in size because of hurricanes. That’s only a small part of it. Some of it has to do with Corps of Engineers tinkering, and also the pollution coming down to NOLA and the mouth of the Mississippi River from all along its length.
