I detect a loss of perspective on this whole Beck/Palin/Paul phenomina. I know it is fresh for the young (well, younger than me), but I recall George Wallace for one. Now that was a serious bit of populist backlash. We worked through that shit too. This is not the end of America. It is pretty much business as usual.
