The biggest supporters of Tojo in Japan were the religious parties. But that is neither here nor there. Religionists always point to the evil done by non religous men and then say see, world leaders should be more religous, overlooking the deeds of equally barbaric acts religous people have carried out. The reality is religion does not act as a check on humans nor does it egg them on to more violence in war. Humans are what they are if they had religion or not.

I won’t respect religions that pretty much call for death penalties for apostacy or homosexuality or for mowing your lawn on certain days of the week, etc.
