I would think the greatest danger in having genetic information is that insurance companies will make decisions about who is insurable based on information they don’t understand.
That said, there are people who don’t want to know if they have a genetic disease (For example, there was a Huntington’s disease researcher who didn’t have the test she helped developed because she didn’t want to know) Personally, I think I would want to know, but it would be hard to make the decision for someone else, such as an infant.
