These things are very hard to predict. For example, the recent poll showing that Trump as the GOP nominee would put Utah (!) into play is unbelievable on its face, but might actually be true.

FWIW, my prediction is an unpleasantly close race in the general election if the GOP manages to close ranks in some orderly way. Fortunately, this looks unlikely, and a bitterly contested convention seems to be the least of the GOP’s likely future troubles.
