If you don’t recall a chorus of angry calls for Mitt Romney or John McCain or John Kerry or Al Gore to get down on their knees and beg forgiveness for their failures every time they appeared in public after losing their presidential elections, that’s because it didn’t happen. Only Hillary Clinton is subject to this demand.

Only Hillary Clinton lost to a completely unprepared, unqualified, dithering old racist with no political experience. Gore lost to a governor of a large state, McCain lost to a fellow Senator, Romney and Kerry lost to incumbent presidents - their opponents, whether you liked them or not, were at least within the bounds of decency and competence we expect from a President of these United States. Hillary Clinton’s loss is the New England Patriots losing to a Division III college team, or Manchester United losing to a midlevel team in the National League
