There is always a crazification factor in the US electorate who will pull the lever for R-Beelzebub. That’s baked into the conservative cake, and yet we manage to overcome it.

There aren’t nearly as many conservatives nowadays who would openly argue against interracial marriage or for segregation (though some still do).

Oh, I’m hoping for another 2006 in November, and I have the wistful longing that the Democrats will actually take advantage of it this time.
