Jeez, I thought Scotland was doing quite badly at the moment — our population is about 5.5 million and we’ve got 50 people in ICU with COVID-19 and about 900 people hospitalised. Kentucky has a population of about 4.5 million in comparison.
Minnesota is a state of comparable size, and we have 255 people in ICU and around 1,000 total hospitalized for COVID. This is a particularly heavy strain on our ICU capacity, but so far we still have open beds in every hospital region in the state.
