I think Alex Jones is precisely a huge part of the problem. The return of the Birch Society, Glenn Beck and Ron Paul means that the right doesn’t care much about Israel anymore. Popular conservative sites like Drudge frequently highlight and link to Alex Jones and conservatives don’t seem to mind. Big Journalism linked to LGF on the Reuters story, resulting in maybe 200 clicks. Hot Air had a thread about the story which only received 100 comments. They just aren’t that interested anymore and whacky libertarian philosophy is a huge part of the problem.

Good point. The rise of the “non-interventionist” philosophy on the right could be more of a threat to support for Israel than the peace-niks of the left.
