I mentioned upthread that I’d read Harry Potter fan fiction that was more realistic. I wasn’t just being snarky. In the hands of a fan fiction editor, that nonsense would have been sent back for too much purple prose, passive voice, and turning Caribou Barbie into a Mary Sue.

Sarah Palin IS a Mary Sue.

I hadn’t put it into those words before, but that is exactly what she is to her fan club. She’s an all-American Mary Sue.

But it’s not just that the prose is purple, it’s that the writing mechanics errors are egregious. He actually states, if you read the words, that Palin is destined to be burned at the stake.
