The mom and pop joints are usually better. There is one local chain I like though. Man do they do a wonderful job with my special pepperoni, feta, and spinach pizza.

Local places or small chains are almost always better. The big mass-production places always use crap ingredients and way too much oil. It’s like the difference between a McDonald’s hamburger and one from a good restaurant.
