I live in a small Appalachian town of 4,000 where everyone knows each other. It’s the stereotypical poor town and fiercely conservative, of course.

Among the topics of conversation lately on Facebook…

Gasoline went down 10 cents a gallon this week, and people are actually crediting Trump.

The Dow hit 20,000 — record high stock market. Thank you Trump. I responded “Ah, it’s been a record high stock market for the past 4 years actually.” Some idiot responded to me and told me to stop posting alternate facts, as if they invented some clever gotcha.

People really are idiots. :-(

Man it’s frustrating. I hear you though. I too live in a small and conservative leaning town and my family is one of the few liberal families there. Our county itself went for Clinton but I think that was in part due to the county seat.
