I was reading a DK diary about AOC’s “New party, who dis?” jab at Lieberman, and I realized something else: She’s also the face of all those new women in Congress, all those women who Republicans - and quite a few Democrats I’m sure (and I’m not counting Lieberman in that group) would love to make sure they quietly sit there and wait their turn.

Here’s the thing, with Trump in the White House, there’s no sitting and waiting their turn. They were voted in to counter him and to deal with things like unequal treatment dealt to the poor, women, minorities, and non-Christian religions.

So, once again, she really can’t just back down. I don’t think she volunteered for this job, but various groups chose her because of her being a Democratic Socialist. But they obviously chose the wrong person. Next time, I would recommend not choosing a bartender.

I mean it is a little annoying how she’s overshadowed a lot of the other Freshmen women but that’s on the media not her IMO. My freshman Congresswoman hasn’t talked much about ACO. Our two districts couldn’t be more different but I’m sure Jen Wexton and ACO will find common ground on many an issue that tehy find important.
