It’s sad that I have to say this at only 35 years on this Earth, but that’s fucking life. If you’re so devoted to a cause that failure means you log off and walk away, then you’re never going to get anywhere. Your ideas aren’t going to be taken seriously, nobody’s going to want to listen to you, and you’re going to find that the people whose ideas are horrific are running things. If Bernie arrives with a plurality, loses on the first ballot, and then loses on a subsequent ballot to a candidate with a majority, then the party has spoken and those “youts” need to grow the fuck up and accept that.

You wanna splinter the vote so badly that Trump glides to reelection? Get to the convention and then declare that, since no one candidate has enough delegates to win a majority vote on the first ballot, the party will instead just be handing it to Bernie because actually making him work within the rules every candidate agreed to would piss off his supporters.

Sorry, but getting a hectoring lecture from old people about how they need to grow up and fall in line doesn’t sound like a sure fire way to fire up the youth vote to me.
