In all seriousness, teachers and coaches like myself have to battle both sides of this idea. I take great pride in my abilities as a teacher(Advanced Placement American Government, Economics, Chemistry) and coach(Football-Defensive Coordinator, Track and Field- Hurdles Coach; yeah I’m tooting my on horn/). I have to battle the perception of others of coaches not doing their job, when there are many who do a great job. Yet I also have to battle the ones that do not do their teaching job correctly, as it reflects on us negatively.
