So, if there is no legal NDA with Daniels and Trump, what reason would Daniels’ attorney have to NOT release the material proving the affair? Holding back for the highest bid to sell the story? Or, even more worrisome, that there is no real evidence and this has all been a bluff?

They did the right thing by doing it this way. Daniels and her attorney had kept quiet until the story broke and Trump and Co. started going after her. Since Trump broke the NDA, or whatever you want to call that thing that Cohen wrote, they rightfully could go to the courts and have it thrown out. It’s not their problem that Cohen and Trump are incompetent.

And really, what we have is that the Trump campaign broke campaign finance laws, and paid someone to keep quiet, which means that Trump could be blackmailed.
