Trump could pull a Col. Jessup and yell, “YOU’RE GODDAMN RIGHT I ORDERED THAT CODE RED!!!” on every network with a news department in prime time and Republicans (and his media enablers and defenders) won’t abandon him until the power calculus of having Trump stay in office flips and endangers their own power and influence.
