This is how knowledge is gained. Someone makes an observation. Other’s want to know the causes. More people study the phenomenon, etc.

I really don’t get why people think these sort of things in science are unusual. Gaining knowledge starts with curiosity and speculation.

I get the schadenfreude that some want, with the macho-Trumpers now chemically subverting what said machismo-worshippers might think of as their powerful masculinity.

In this case, time will tell. With so many Americans guzzling horse dewormer, in time we might see a large study on the effects.

I would say we may see the effects begin to really roll in come Christmas (9 months from March this year, when Ivermectin went viral (pun not intended)), peaking in June something, then slowly tapering off during the following 9-12 months.
