My Studebaker friends did well at the Martin Mi. Pure Stock Muscle car drags again this year. All the car have to be bone stock, and running street tires and through the factory exhaust. We had 3 cars entered in 3 different classes and won all three in the two out of three shoot outs.

My 77 year old buddy Ted, beat a 455 GTO 4 speed in his shootout driving his factory supercharged Lark. The others won, beating a Olds 442 and a Rambler Scambler in the slower, 14 second classes. Here’s a video of Ted in action:

that’s my hometown track…nice place eh?…when you go to the points races, that’s my nephew in the “pretty little Maverick” blazing down the track..he’s a local favorite, show car clean and runs in the 10.50s
