I need a little-old-lady computer, just to drive to LGF on Sundays (and the other days that end in ‘y’) and do some minor bookkeeping, make a few sale signs, etc. ‘Gaming’ to me is solitaire. I’ve decided I can get by with a laptop. Got one for home in December for $400. Win 8 seems like it adds a useless layer, but otherwise doesn’t get in the way.

My annoyance with 8 was more that the “Start Screen” looks like something vomitted in 8 bit on my monitor. Now that i have that screen configured and have my desktop setup it’s tolerable.
