Splurged on myself a bit this morning:

Panasonic Lumix G 25mm f/1.7 prime lens. With Micro 4/3 2:1 crop, this is equivalent to the old classic 50mm lens that Canon/Nikon/Pentax and the rest used to include before the rise of the bad kit zooms. Instant rebate at BH Photo brings it down to $99 which is just about as good as it gets for an amateur photographer who misses the old nifty 50’s. I have no doubt this will be my nearly only lens.
