Once again, mental health is raised as a deflection to the fact that getting guns is too easy.

The NRA/GOP will push this right up until the next mass shooting where someone with mental health issues is involved, and they’ll claim that it deprives people of their right to a gun to ask deep questions about their mental health and sharing it with law enforcement.

Just watch (the replay) because they’ve done this act before, and will do it again and again.

And even if guns aren’t involved in the debate, conservatives don’t want to spend the money on proper mental health care (or any health care) anyway.

It is merely one in a very long line of deflections from the only common denominator in every mass shooting in history: guns.

The NRA is not going to change until its membership does. On the plus side, more NRA members are becoming disgruntled over their extremist views.
