The discovery phase of this would be a mess. Trump will claim he didn’t have adequate/competent legal representation, and Cohen will rebut with evidence he did, and that these were legitimate expenses.

As we’ve known all along Trump hates to pay his vendors. He’s stiffed his lawyers too - refusing to pay them even when he admits that they did a good job for him.

That’s one of the reasons Trump had such a hard time finding anyone to represent his sorry corrupt ass in all these investigations.
