I still think that famous poster worked as well as it did because she wore a rather tame one piece swimsuit. You paid more attention to her face than her other … attributes. And that was a good thing.

That’s easily one of the most stunningly successful pin-up posters of all time. There have been others, most notably the Heather Thomas pink bikini in a hot tub poster and Morgan Fairchild in (IIRC) a leopard-print one-piece swimsuit, but that Farrah poster is absolutely iconic.
