As I said ā- I have no problem with him in a Cabinet position and have no automatic objection to his proposal for a basic income for all adults; that seems similar in concept to Milton Friedmanās old idea of a negative income tax (fun fact ā I was at school at the same time as Milton Friedmanās son David, who was studying physics, and met him through my boy friend at that time, who was also in physics)
I remember that idea as being one of the few things Milton ever said that made sense. I think this would be a better way to do it than have to figure out how far under a baseline someone is. Just do an automatic payment into every personās bank account once a month, perhaps on the SSI schedule?
