There really are no good answer once a worldwide pandemic hits. The best answers, like with most bad things, are preventative in nature. And as we all know, Trump tossed out the pandemic playbook created over the last two administrations, shitcanned the NSC members responsible for pandemic responses (and didn’t replace them), cut funding for the CDC, and failed to fill positions in the CDC’s worldwide operations. So we were left with the unenviable choice of a shit sandwich or shit tacos.
