Morning. I have mixed feelings about that ruling. Put simply, I think it’s a good idea to check everyone that enters a jail for weapons in any part of their body. This is most easily done through strip searches. It doesn’t force the cops to perform strip searches neither does it provide guidance in how to perform said searches. But the most important reasoning I could see is for jail house safety.

Is this reasoning applicable to airplanes? I.e., if the TSA scanning machine breaks down, it’s strip searches for everyone?
