I’ve heard they picked 2/23 as the date because 223 is a kind of ammo or weapon(I’ll admit I am not really familiar with wtf they’re talking about since it’s been years since I have been anywhere near a firearm) used in some shooting(Newtown? Aurora? ) that they are afraid is going to be banned.

Ah. Yeah. I remember this whinefest. Yes, the 0.223 is the caliber of the ammunition used in the AR-15 so they so “cleverly” chose 2/23 to bitch and celebrate and to make poorly worded signage or something…..
