I remember being nervous about the final jobs report before the election in 2012. IIRC, it also had good-but-not-great numbers. I breathed another sigh of relief this morning, but I don’t think it matters much at all.

A last set of numbers is not going to shift votes at this point. To the extent it shows the real state of the economy and its effect on families (a rough draft of the ‘Misery Index’), it’s good news.
