Not really. If Trump has to run a primary campaign, that means less time/energy that can be devoted to being president and ignoring the PDB on international affairs. It also weakens Trump politically domestically, making our internal politics more problematic. Figure Trump losing ground domestically along with a couple of years of fucking shit up on the world stage, the US standing in the world will be, to use a technical term, very bad no good terrible. In short, it generates more chaos in US politics. With a zero sum mindset like Putin’s that’s a positive outcome for Russia.

One can only hope.
