Thanks BWS, it always hurts, Toby is a dachshund that has lived to be 18 1/2, he’s had two back surgeries years ago, recovered, and got around well. I’ve got more $ in him then I have had in some pickup trucks, and worth every penny. I’ve always said if there is reincarnation I want to come back as one of my wife’s dogs (except for the neutering!), they get treated better than I do :) but is is his time, and it still hurts.
