Fucking Amazon can take the money from my bank account within 2 hours of me making a fucking order, but need 3-5 days to put it back because of their fuck up. WTF.

Not just Amazon: it’s one of the less-fun aspects of the Age Of Electronic Finance: self-initiated payments can be processed virtually instantaneously, but as soon as a human has to get involved (like authorizing a refund), for some reason, payments back to you always get held up. I’m sure there’s *technical* explanation somewhere unrelated to the interest accruing on those (no doubt) billions of dollars of balances floating around daily….
