Well if he can simply pardon everyone out of consequences, including himself, then everyone goes home unscathed and the country takes it on the chin. Again. Still. Unless there’s another process, that’s the reality: Get Out of Jail Free for Everyone.

The saving grace in all of this, no matter what happens with a second impeachment, is that presidential pardons won’t save any of them, Trump and spawn included, from state charges and prosecution.
