One of my favorite memories of Illesheim FRG in the very early 80’s was one night when I was trying to chat up a local German lass and some other dude decided she was his. I remember swinging a bottle across the table at his face even as my wing man held me back (and _OUT_ of trouble ;)) I threw it sideways which made his “friend” think he’d been attacked, and we go out in the chaos. Sweet little German girl that made it all worthwhile at least for that evening …. ;)
