My major problem with the government getting involved in health care is that it so often makes problems worse when it tries to fix them.

Example 1: Cabrini-Green was supposed to get the poor OUT of the ghetto, not put them in a little slice of hell in Chicago.
Example 2: The War on Poverty was supposed to, um, do something.
Example 3: How many times have we reformed immigration now?
Example 4: The DMV.

I would like for health care to be more affordable, and for the poor to be able to get better care more efficiently. The government’s track record is just too poor for me to trust them to take care of it.
