There are no precedents when it comes to Trump. He is the new precedent.

And hopefully one we will learn from…but then that would be a precedent too.

That is the point. He ran as the anti-politician for people who are fed up with politics and politicans. He was able to get away with things that would have derailed the campaign or even the career of any professional politician.
