one of my favorite movies is The Natural
seen it lots of times

i had it on today while i was working

there’s a whole sequence where they flash a newspaper to tell a bit of the story

i never noticed this before - always kept my eye on the headlines
i dont know how common it is that they did this in other movies:

i guess it was how they did the movie because “reserve grand champion chestnut gelding Lord Britian” was not in the movie as a ball player
