I was reading somewhere that if the Senate Judiciary Committee ties on the nomination it would need 60 votes to make it onto the Senate floor. But I have not yet been down the arcane Senate procedural rules rabbit-hole to verify.

That’s terrible then. The judiciary committee is split 50/50, including Hawley, Cruz, Graham, and Blackburn. This can become a nightmare then. There is no depravity that Republicans will not embrace.
