It would be interesting if Romney did it.

It would overcome a major reservation I have about the guy - does he have moral courage or does he just game out what collection of policies gets him the broadest reach. Reagan had moral courage and won people over as a result.

Romney is in the position to do it, would make headlines if he did (Steele wouldn’t at this point IMO - he has lost his authority), and Romney can be mean - which is kinda what is needed. I don’t know how you “bridge the issues” with this camp.
