If the UN doesn’t step in, you’ll see ethnic cleansing among the Sunnis, Shiites, Kurds, and Orthodox Christians make the Yugoslavian breakup look like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.

And if the UN does step in the Salafists will reply with suicide bombers and IEDs.

Perhaps the NATO nations should demand that Saudi Arabia provide the needed troops. “You guys funded the spread of Salafism, so no you get to clear up the mess you made!” Likely unworkable, but its a pleasant thought.
