Yup, I was thinking about your usage going forward.
Me, before my mom washed the skillet in soapy water*, usually used stuff in pork fat, chicken fat, or peanut oil.
* I’m still crying inside, and haven’t re-cured yet.
Hmmmm, maybe doing duck breasts would be a good start after base re-curing…
