re: #140 MsJ

I know what they are for. What I’m saying is that it don’t believe I’ve ever given an outside company permission to have all this information on me. And they were reckless with my personal information. If this was HIPAA they world be in legal trouble. Why is all this personal information, which is far more sensitive than simple medical records, allowed to be collected like this? And yes I suppose that’s rhetorical.

The almost amusing thing is the hit that’s going to be on those same financial institutions who insistented on this. The credit score (that they refused to define how it’s calculated) isn’t enough, they have to have enough information to create an entire identity and proved all the information to never allow any kind of weird driven password again like, oh say, mother’s maiden name.

TBH, the entire credit reporting system is outmoded, and I would also suggest deliberately discriminatory against POC and the “lower classes.” For example, a person may have moved several times to chase employment opportunities, or to escape an abusive situation. Payments may have fallen behind because of protracted illness or a sudden layoff. The credit rating is obtained with some kind of arcane set of measurements, and only recently has it become possible to see your score at any time without damaging it.

Centralizing that kind of personal information in one place (or three, FTM) was a disaster waiting to happen.
