That’s a trend. A lot of popular authors do that. Well into death, too. Kyle Mills (an exceptional author in his own right) is writing Vince Flynn novels now. And the guy who’s writing the Bourne novels (mediocre at best) is keeping Ludlum “alive”. He killed Marie because he didn’t think he could make Bourne Bourne if she lived (much like the movies). I’m sure he would have made her a poor, gypsy girl (like the movies did, vs the PhD partner of Bourne in the books), if he could have.

Tom Clancy was doing the same thing before his death.
