Yes. He’s unaware of basic things too, so knowing the auto industry evolution is far above his grasp. He is absolutely clueless is so many ways. The only things he ever “read” over the years were about him. The language he uses, especially for business matters, is very indicative of his arrested development, narcissism and privilege cocoon.

IIRC, Toyota was one of the first (perhaps the first) to set up a design bureau in the Los Angeles area - I think it’s been moved somewhere else now - to design cars specifically for the US market.
