Kristol needs to realize that the GOP was never, in his lifetime, what he thought it was. And it can never again become what he imagines. It’s gone. It’s fascists, all the way down.

the gop can easily be sorted into two groups

- the donor class - the money people and recipients of tax cuts (lucy)
- the rube/mark/sucker class - that the donor class lies to and manipulates so they’ll vote how the donor class wants. (charlie brown)
