To me, that is a different band under the same name.

Miles away from the most famous lineup, for certain. But the blues pedigree of that band was top-shelf - three ex-members of Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, including the guitarist who replaced Eric Clapton.

But as good as they were, they only had one #1 single - ‘Albatross.’ But they also wrote ‘Black Magic Woman,’ which was a hit for Santana down the road.
