So, all the so-called training done by cops and active shooter drills done by cops for teachers was worthless?

You don’t say. The local PD is covering itself with something fierce, and it isn’t glory.

All the talk about how schools can fortify and if only we had a single entry/exit point, we could protect those buildings has never actually been in a school or building.
