Pretty much. I see it here in GA all the time. I’m not even that damned brilliant and it’s not that hard to figure out where much of the problems lie. Rich and privileged assholes laugh all the way to the bank while people fight and kill each other over abortion and terrorists and where they THINK their tax money goes.

I had a conversation with a right wing neighbor once and I flat out asked him how much money he thought was being wasted on poor, lazy moochers spending his tax money. Like what percentage of the national budget goes to that. He thought it was half. HALF. I said no, half the budget actually goes to the defense industry. His SIL works for Lockheed, and he honestly thought I was lying to him. I asked him where he got the idea that half the budget goes to the poor (like that would be awful) and he told me he read some stuff on facebook and on some websites. I gave up.
